The project of this piece on the external wall of the offices of Alumnos 47 in Mexico City meets one of the main goals the artist had while conceiving this series when he first decided to work with ceramics.
 

His final intention was to achieve pieces that could be integrated to the public space and life. Today, thanks to this initiative and to Alumnos 47 Foundation, this artwork will become a part of the urban landscape, as it will be located on one of the main streets of the southern part of Mexico City. Here, it will not only acquire a new status and allow different readings: by creating a public mural, Marcos Castro joins the tradition of Mexican muralism and seeks to portray historical events through a personal perspective, as did his predecessors. However, he slightly alters them by creating an apocalyptic halo, with the purpose of inspiring “social awareness” from the strength of the public space.
